Divine Guidance

Concerned with issues from peace and prosperity to health and happiness, billions of modern Christian, members of other religions, and on occasion even their secular counterparts, look to God for understanding and guidance. Yet few of us today are having Gideon sheep fleece quality encounters with the Angel of the Lord. More often than not, today's fleeces have a high failure rate.

Even so, it's normal to
hope for Divine direction. If not empowerment. Supposed answers come in all shapes and sizes. Some abstract, dealing with thoughts and feelings. Others concrete, as in regards to personal or corporate circumstance. Yet few seeking God's assistance have a plan in mind for determining if and to what extent Omnity is actually providing the answers we seek.

Ask and keep on asking and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking and you will find; knock and keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you.

- Matthew 7:7 AMP

When it comes to Divine Guidance, a vast percentage of believers and casual inquirers alike come away underwhelmed at best. Though many a modern Christian would protest against such an generalization, their weekly and even monthly absence from Bible study and prayer rooms proves otherwise.

Sadly, the lost
art of intercession is only one of several indicators that paint a vivid picture of the alienation from which even God's own people suffer. While few if any are immune, a minuet percentage are honestly dedicated to reversing this dire situation.

Extravagant, if not ludicrous mass revivalists aside, where are those willing to gather and wait upon
Omnity until the fire of heavenly revival falls? What group or even person is willing to routinely turn minutes into hours, silent and still before the Lord that He might speak and move mightily? Job's "false friends" mourned speechless for seven days before the calamity of one man. God and humanity should be so lucky. Who among us has done the same for a single day or even an hour when faced with the spiritual and soon to be eternal ruin of nearly an entire generation?

The wisest and
most dedicated among us may nod in agreement to the above, yet nearly to a man they're unwilling to either perceive or take up such a challenge. Preferring what they can see over the unseen, even the remnant of the remnant would prefer to continue using picks and shovels in hopes of tunneling through the challenges before us rather than seek the repeated promise of "mustard seed faith" to remove mountains, casting them into the sea:

  • "You unbelieving and perverse generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy here to me.” Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed at that moment. Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?” He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." (Matthew 17:17-20 NIV)

  • "Early in the morning, as Jesus was on his way back to the city, he was hungry. Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, “May you never bear fruit again!” Immediately the tree withered. When the disciples saw this, they were amazed. “How did the fig tree wither so quickly?” they asked. Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done." (Matthew 21:18-21 NIV)
Admittedly the odds of successfully obtaining, much less walking in such miraculous power are small. Nevertheless, like in Einstien's case, it only takes one to break through and start a revolution. Surely our minuscule gains and daily overwhelming losses attest to our desperate need. Facts presenting a strong argument in favor of regularly and deeply humbling ourselves before God that He may lift us up. Such is the example and counsel of Scripture for times such as these. From Old Testament prophetic advice to New Testament apostolic epistles, the Divine directive to "break glass in case of emergency" is clear.

After
decades of casting a broad net I have yet to find one Christian willing to wisely persevere were such an all-important cause. Having spoken directly and indirectly in the hearing of tens if not hundreds of thousands through both media and in print interviews and articles, only a handful or two showed any substantial promise. All but two of these were either too shortsighted or busy to continue. Sadly, even these two friends refuse to gather more than an hour or two a week, if that, to discuss much less fervently praying for the very outpouring we not only need but cannot live without.

Such being the case, as a result of 70,000 hours of strategic research and development, I created
Quantum Christianity as a clarion call to those who have "ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches." While both its founder and tenants are far from perfect, I believe this Biblical commentary to be head and shoulders above many current mistaken doctrines within Churchianity.

Appreciating there may be 1,000 ways for QC to receive the empowerment and/or resource it rightly deserves, alongside my daily and intensive personal prayer I have often set fleeces before the Lord. Unlike Gideon, I've had no Divine epiphany motivating these continual attempts to discern and receive God's favor. What I do have is an uncanny willingness and ability to read and remember Scriptures as they are written in simple English. Sorting them topically by
emphasis, I've developed an unique degree of honesty regarding the serious nature of our current dilemma.

Unfortunately, hundreds if not thousands of attempts to motivate
Omnity to intervene on this behalf have proved unfruitful. As of today, not a single prayer to strategically alter the course of either people or circumstance in real time has come to pass.

Interestingly and thankfully, none of these reasons preclude the kind of prayer being discussed. On the contrary, individually much less collectively, they all but demand it. Nevertheless, after three decades of searching, I
remain alone in both my assessment of the situation and willingness to undertake that which is most necessary. Tragically, will having lead many in the past, I continue to be unable to draw together a single team, fellowship group or church possessing the missionary vision and zeal to admit that when it comes to unanswered prayer we are "off-line" and therefore must do all all we can to reestablish heavenly communication and supply. For this reason I daily rehearse before God the painfully obvious fact that the many of the blessing I seek are commonly bestowed on tens if not hundreds of millions of the apathetic, not to mention those antithetical to this our most holy faith.
