Approaching God One Thought At A Time

The wrath of God is not ignoble. Rather, it is too noble, too just, too perfect – it is this that bothers us.

Oh Say Can You See

We enjoy so many blessings in America today its easy to take for granted their source and meaning. We may forget that God, from whom all blessings flow, "gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike." Modern life is filled with amazing advances that provide us with capabilities rivaling the ancient gods of mythology.

Yet, in light of Jesus' warning, "to whom much is given much, much more will be required" it's apparent that
riches and technology, power and freedom can be a blessing or a curse, depending on how they are used. So too, patriotism has its place, so long as it's accurately weighed and measured against the justice and judgments of God. May the Lord grant His Church eyes to see "what's become of our light" and ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to the Churches.

God's anger is revealed from heaven against all the sin and evil of the people whose evil ways prevent the truth from being known.

- Romans 1:18 GNT

September 11, 2002 I saw "Old Glory" in a new light.  As they read the names of each WTC victim I sympathized yet wondered about the 50 million or more aborted Americans (Clinical and perhaps Contraceptive) never even given names. Surrounded by Flags and Anthems I realized our 50 stars not only stand proudly for our 50 states but as silent testimony of 1 million aborted U.S. Children a piece...

Early a few mornings later I awoke wondering when, "We the People..." would again "Establish Justice, Ensure domestic tranquility...Provide for the common defense, Promote the general welfare and Secure the Blessings of Liberty, for ourselves and Our Posterity..." and truly be a land of "Liberty and Justice for ALL."

In light of Abortion's "Unsung Holocaust" I borrowed the melody of "Oh Say Can You See" to ask the same question of our generation... I offer it humbly, hoping we might learn to again love All American's, from
Embryos to the Elderly...

Oh Say Can You See...
What's become of our Light
While proudly we Hail
America's last Gleaming.
Blood red Stripes
Fifty Stars
Each a million Dead
Just so Far
While we pledge and we Sing
Our Children's Blood
goes on Streaming.
See Abortion's red Glare
Hear lies filling the Air,
"Choice, it's our Right"
to murder Children we Dare.
How long can our Star Spangled Banner
yet Wave
Or' a land become a Sea,
Of the Blood,
Of our Babes...

God Bless America,
with a last Gift,
Repentance...
