Approaching God One Thought At A Time

Making the decision to have a child - it's momentous. It is to decide forever
to have your heart go walking outside your body.

Lost Family

We all have spiritually lost family members. Often immediate and extended. Many Christian parents and grandparents, siblings extended family have invested thousands of hours raising and nurturing those whom Scripture says "oppose themselves."

Such an alarming fact should raise serious questions including
how badly are they at odds with Scripture and why do they persist?

Even more telling, have we as individuals and families, extended families and churches really done enough to
pray for and train, guide and protect our love ones? Particularly given the unprecedented and growing levels of temptation and deception, entitlement and sin running rampant 24/7 in the deteriorating Times and Seasons in which we live?

Such questions are desperate for answers. Equally pressing is the immediate development of a comprehensive plan to meet this growing offensive.

Oh, my dear children! I feel as if I'm going through labor pains for you again, and they will continue until Christ is fully developed in your lives.

- Galatians 4:19 NLT

Parents average 20 hours a week caring for children. That’s almost 20,000 hours raising a family. Add to this an estimated cost of $225,000 per child and we’re talking a serious investment!

For Christians, the stakes are higher. We are called to assume the privilege and responsibility of not just our families wellbeing in
time, but eternity. Yet, even with what passes for good parenting skills, more often than not today’s youth are falling to the pleasures and pressures of modern life.

We all have spiritually lost family members. Often immediate and extended. Such an alarming fact should raise serious questions including
how and why? Equally pressing is the immediate development of a comprehensive plan to meet this growing offensive.

There is little doubt that the majority of Christian spouses and parents, brothers and sisters, grandmas and grandpas care deeply for their family. What is in question is why the average Christian household has been all but
plundered when it comes to the genuine salvation and authentic discipleship of each and every one of it’s precious and irreplaceable members?

More to the point,
why so little serious prayer on their behalf? The reasons are many and complicated. Praying alone is lonely work. Praying with others, including spouses and/or adult children, can highlight weaknesses within the framework of families and friendships. Prayer itself often stirs up sorrow and depression over the lack of answers. Ironically, simple attempts at being “the salt of the earth” often feels more like just pouring salt into open wounds. Such challenges to prayer alone reveal a desperate need for developing far better spiritual strategies.

All the more so given the that battle for the hearts and minds, lives and souls, of those nearest and dearest sharply escalated with the 1960’s sexual revolution. The net effect of which has been to
invert morality throughout the First World and beyond. Unleashing a tsunami of temptation and deception, entitlement and sin. After nearly 60 years, today’s families are so daily drenched with spiritual obstacles and challenges, that many go unnoticed.

A detailed description of the physical and emotional, social and spiritual risks our family members face today could fill a small library. Temptations and deceptions are so prevalent that fewer every day are able to run the gauntlet unscathed.

While temptation is as old as the Garden of Eden, modern varieties eclipse anything the world has seen. Often attractively wrapped, the peddling of half truths and lies has become a powerful and lucrative trillion dollar business.

Wise parents start training their children early to recognize and avoid trouble. Unfortunately sin is packaged so seductively that adults, much less teens, easily fall victim to it's enticements. Evil seems alive and well, on the rise and with a mind of it's own. Thousands of Biblical passage attest to the seriousness of the subject. We would do well to reconsider God's warnings. Here are few starting with one to the First Family prior Cain's murder of his brother Able:

  • "Then the LORD said to Cain, "Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it." Genesis 4:6-7

  • "For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. James 1:13-15

  • "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." Ephesians 6:10-12

Snares And Pitfalls

Praying Parents should be keenly aware of the growing list of risks and dangers they and their children are facing. The following represent a short list that taken alone have, are and will continue to devastate our families unless we press through to the power, provision and protection of God:

1. Broken Homes and Divorce: Today's astronomical divorce rate, even among professing Christians, is leaving hundreds of millions of family members with less resistance to temptation and sin of every kind. All challenges devastating tens of millions of teens worldwide.

2.
Sexual Sin and Promiscuity: Epidemic in proportion and global in scope, a tsunami of lust has covered the world and our families since the 60's sexual revolution without every receding. With chastity for teens and adults out of date, a Pandora's Box of woes has unleashed a flood of woes. Worse, with Madison Avenue and Hollywood pushing sexuality through advertising and entertainment, it's been raining temptation 40 years day and night with no end in sight.

3.
Sensuality and Pornography: For millennia modesty was the norm with even women's swimsuits ankle length. Today we show more skin and curves in church than prostitutes were allowed to for most of human history. Without being overly Puritan, clearly we've left little to the imagination. Of course pornography present and readily available everywhere in print, video and internet all restrain has been removed. The combined effect has overturned thousands of years of morality and our families have, are and will continue suffer for it without the deliverance of God.

4.
Drugs and Alcohol: While usage of this and or that drug may rise and fall, the ravages of addictions have brought pain and suffering to billions. One user can devastate many who love and care for them.

5. Friends and Enemies: With peer pressure and entitlement it can be hard to tell one from the other. As many parents have found out the hard way when the friends of our kids fall they often take our children with them. Worse are the vast array of enemies strategically stealing the innocence from our daughters and sons. From sexual predators to gangs their violence against the health of our families can be decimating.

6. Sloth and Recklessness: While less notorious than many problems these issues are on the rise. Untreated or medicated through illegal or prescription drugs, tens of millions languish in depression and anxiety expressing itself in dozens of dangerous ways, from lethargy to life threatening behavior.

7.
Faithlessness and Rebellion: Failures by reason of omission and commission abound today even among believers. Biblical illiteracy, prayerlessness and spiritual apathy are the norm for parents not to mention teens and young adults. As Samson found himself powerless and easily imprisoned having succumbed to the seduction of sin, so as much as half the generation dedicated to Lord and His service are being taken captive by the Enemy.

The introduction of such a quantity and quality of subtle to gross forms of
immorality has facilitated astronomical rates of teen sexuality and abortion, pornography and drug abuse, cohabitation and divorce, worldliness and unbelief. Both outside and inside the church.

Then why so little concern among Churchianity? First, given worldliness’s torrent, nearly everything is caught in it’s current. Struggling against such a swollen raging river is hard work. Second, when comparing ourselves to the commonplace apathy and aggression, not to mention the often gross and deviant behavior of others, it’s easy for
modern believers to let themselves off the hook. But are we? Who can deny that serious family Bible study is passé and lengthy family prayer a thing of the past? Equally telling is that the average church attender is Biblically illiterate; i.e. unable to quote, much less correctly interpret and properly implement, ten verses in a row. Equally damaging is personal prayerless; i.e. stopping to pray less than ten minutes a day. As if, in these days of unprecedented temptation and sin, anything less than dedicating at least an hour a day could hardly suffice.

Our precarious predicament does not deny that a myriad of parents and family members internally agonize over the spiritual state of loved ones. Many have been the frustrations and tears, hopes and prayers of innumerable caring Christians. Even so, our frustrations have woefully failed to translate into appropriate action. Such being the case, this is a difficult discussion for a variety of reasons. Disappointments with those nearest and dearest can run deep. Reopening old wounds, without timely resolution, can seem like adding insult to injury. Doing so repeatedly, as may be required of faithful and diligent intercessors, frequently triggers doubts as to the reasonableness of faith. As well as increasing the risk of inflaming sensitive issues with God. This in turn often raises unwelcomed questions of Divine fairness and goodness, loneliness and loss, anger and distress, disease and death. Additional challenges arise when confronting areas of disagreement and/or disobedience to the directives of Scripture. Particularly to the degree we may be grieving the Holy Spirit. Knowingly or not.

As the temporal and
eternal dangers of our current situation exponentially escalate, very few are willing to be completely honest regarding our lackluster performance. Within modern Christianity as a whole and on an individual level. A condition all the more untenable considering the Bible’s warning:

  • “…without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6 Amplified Bible
Consider the following crucial question. Given the ubiquitous levels of temptation, deception and sin; above, about and within, what would be the minimum amount of time each of our immediate family members deserve to be covered in daily prayer? One minute? Five minutes? Ten minutes? Twenty minutes? Even at a modest ten minutes, hardly enough time to realistically hope to move God or the Devil, circumstances or the human will, that would translate to at least forty minutes a day for the average nuclear family. A number that might easily double or triple for larger families. Not to mention adding siblings and/or the spouses of grown children, grandchildren and so on. Yet it is likely less than 1% of Christians are daily offering half as much. Now imagine inviting a Christian brother or sister to join your meeting. It might well take two or more hours to just pray yourselves beyond your own doorsteps!

Such an inconvenient truth is made even more palpable when pondering a thought from C.S. Lewis in The Weight of Glory:

  • It is a serious thing to live in a society of possible gods and goddesses, to remember that the dullest and most uninteresting person you talk to may one day be a creature which, if you saw it now, you would be strongly tempted to worship, or else a horror and a corruption such as you now meet, if at all, only in a nightmare. All day long we are, in some degree, helping each other to one or other of these destinations. It is in the light of these overwhelming possibilities, it is with the awe and the circumspection proper to them, that we should conduct all our dealings with one another, all friendships, all loves, all play, all politics. There are no 'ordinary' people. You have never talked to a mere mortal. Nations, cultures, arts, civilizations -- these are mortal, and their life is to ours as the life of a gnat. But it is immortals whom we joke with, work with, marry, snub and exploit -- immortal horrors or everlasting splendors. This does not mean that we are to be perpetually solemn. We must play. But our merriment must be of that kind (and it is, in fact, the merriest kind) which exists between people who have, from the outset, taken each other seriously -- no flippancy, no superiority, no presumption. And our charity must be a real and costly love, with deep feeling for the sins in spite of which we love the sinner -- no mere tolerance or indulgence which parodies love as flippancy parodies merriment.” - Emphasis QC’s
Truth be told “as the life of a gnat” could easily be extended to the age of the universe and beyond! Where is this kind of concern? Without such weekly, if not daily, personal, if not corporate prayer, do can we have one?

Having confused
presumption with faith, hundreds of millions of believers shrug off such spiritual exercise as legalism. All the while failing to daily and diligently seek God on behalf of themselves and their family, friends and neighbors. A percentage of these excuse their apathetic behavior by claiming this or that subjective experience or perceived promise from God as reason to stop pressing in before having witnessed the results of praying through to victory. Not so the Apostle Paul. If anyone walked in the fruit and gifts of the Spirit, and therefore might expect to receive a preemptive “word from the Lord,” it was he. Yet when praying for problematic believers, not even distantly related to him, he insisted the proof was in the pudding:

  • “My little children, for whom I am again in [the pains of] labor until Christ is [completely and permanently] formed within you.” Galatians 4:19 Amplified Bible - Emphasis QC’s
A similar sentiment can be seen in the famous quote attributed to St. Augustine, “Without God, man cannot. Without man, God will not.” Celebrated as a founding Church Father throughout Christendom, clearly Augustine appreciated the necessity of our quantum cooperation with God. A spiritual entanglement evidenced by a myriad of Bible passages, including Paul’s admonition to Timothy. And by extension, all believers:

  • “For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands.  For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:6-7 New International Version
Paul explains the synergy of the “gift of God,” bestowed by “the laying on of my hands” required Timothy to "fan into flame" the “power, love and self-discipline” of the “Spirit God gave us.” It would appear that for Christ’s Kingdom to progress unimpeded we each have important roles to play. Particular in intercession. A privilege and responsibility expressed by evangelist Leonard Ravenhill who wisely noted, “God doesn’t hear prayer, He hears desperate prayer.”

While an in-depth and
honest handling of this topic is not an easy read, it is nonetheless essential. The havoc wreaked by our unwillingness to fully rise to the challenge of such a devilishly incremental, albeit successful spiritual campaign, has proved disastrous for modern Christianity. Rather than leadership sounding the alarm and arising for war, for decades millions, if not billions, of believers have been AWOL. Settling for, if not insistent on, a pleasant yet powerlessness form of Churchianity. In the face of unprecedented losses to enemies on every side, few if any churches have even taken the first step of stressing serious and lengthy intercessory prayer as a primary weekly meeting. Much less making passionate participation a requirement for all would be leadership, if not laity. Such a massive failure to appropriately respond seems more in keeping with a recipe for disaster and judgment, than much needed revival and reformation.

Truth be told,
the spiritual loss of hundreds of millions of family and friends is not because we’ve fought and failed, but rather our failure to fight.

The intrinsic dangers of our tragic state of affairs, so often warned of throughout Scripture, is also attested to by many of the wisest among us. Both past and present:

1. Florence Nightingale: The famous English reformer and founder of modern nursing noted:

  • “Life is a hard fight, a struggle, a wrestling with the principal of evil, hand to hand, foot to foot. Every inch of the way is disputed. The night is given us to take breath, to pray, to drink deep at the fountain of power. The day, to use the strength which has been given us, to go forth to work with it till the evening.”
2. Martin Luther: The celebrated leader of the Protestant Reformation often pointed out the critical need for spiritual judgment and action. The following quote has frequently been attributed to him:

  • “If I profess with the loudest voice and clearest exposition every portion of the truth of God except precisely that little point which the world and the devil are at that moment attacking, I am not confessing Christ, however boldly I may be professing Christ. Wherever the battle rages, there the loyalty of the soldier is proved and to be steady on all the battlefield besides is mere flight and disgrace if he flinches at that one point.”
3. Blaise Pascal: French mathematician, physicist, inventor, writer and Christian philosopher commented on the state of Christ and His disciples in Gethsemane:

  • “Jesus, seeing all His friends asleep and all His enemies wakeful, commits Himself entirely to His Father. Jesus does not regard in Judas his enemy, but the order of God, which He loves and admits, since He calls him friend… Jesus tears Himself away from His disciples to enter into His agony; we must tear ourselves away from our (distractions for our) nearest and dearest to imitate Him. Jesus being in agony and in the greatest affliction, let us pray longer.
4. Dietrich Bonhoeffer: Founder of Germany's Confessing Church during WW2, Nazi resistor and martyr. He made the following distinction between cheap vs. costly grace in his famous book entitle “The Cost Of Discipleship.”

  • Cheap grace is the preaching of forgiveness without requiring repentance, baptism without church discipline. Communion without confession. Cheap grace is grace without discipleship, grace without the cross, grace without Jesus Christ." Cheap grace, Bonhoeffer says, is to hear the gospel preached as follows: "Of course you have sinned, but now everything is forgiven, so you can stay as you are and enjoy the consolations of forgiveness." The main defect of such a proclamation is that it contains no demand for discipleship. In contrast to cheap grace, "costly grace confronts us as a gracious call to follow Jesus, it comes as a word of forgiveness to the broken spirit and the contrite heart. It is costly because it compels a man to submit to the yoke of Christ and follow him; it is grace because Jesus says: "My yoke is easy and my burden is light." Bonhoeffer argues that as Christianity spread, the Church became more "secularized", accommodating the demands of obedience to Jesus to the requirements of society. In this way, "the world was Christianized, and grace became its common property." But the hazard of this was that the gospel was cheapened, and obedience to the living Christ was gradually lost beneath formula and ritual, so that in the end, grace could literally be sold for monetary gain.
5. Barna Group: The primary pollsters of the American Church for decades have long warned of modern Christianity’s growing likeness to Laodicea. One of the seven churches Jesus judges in the Book of Revelation:

  • “Many believers claim to trust what the Bible teaches, but they reject the notion of a real spiritual adversary or they feel that faith-sharing activities are optional. Millions feel personally committed to God, but they are renegotiating the definition of that deity. One reason beliefs fluctuate is that most Americans hold few convictions about their faith and have one foot in the biblical camp and one foot outside it. They say they are committed, but to what? They are spiritually active, but to what end? The spiritual profile of American Christianity is not unlike a lukewarm church that the Bible warns about.”
6. Eugene Peterson: The author of the wonderfully contemporary Message version of the Bible identifies a serious systemic problem for today’s pastors:

  • “The vocation of pastor(s) has been replaced by the strategies of religious entrepreneurs with business plans.”
7. Charles Finney: Arguably the most spiritually powerful and insightful man to walk the Earth since the apostles. Having played a key role in America’s Second Great Awakening, he leveled an even sharper rebuke over the failures of the pulpit in his day:

  • “If there is a decay of conscience, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the public press lacks moral discernment, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the church is degenerate and worldly, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the world loses its interest in Christianity, the pulpit is responsible for it. If Satan rules in our halls of legislation, the pulpit is responsible for it. If our politics become so corrupt that the very foundations of our government are ready to fall away, the pulpit is responsible for it.”
In summary, it appears modern Christianity has greatly overestimated the spiritual sensitivity of our own judgment, while vastly underestimating the strategy of our Adversary. A costly error warned against by such notable military strategist as Sun Tzu:

  • “It is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle.”
The unanswered question is why such foolish behavior and denial, resulting in devastating and debilitating spiritual loss? In a word, worldliness. While the forces arrayed against us are many and nearly intractable, such reasoning falls short of explaining our bewildering lack of serious individual and joint effort. With Hell to loose and Heaven to gain, worldliness alone can be the reason for such apathy and worse. With the teaching and example of Jesus, and God’s gracious offer of the fruit and gifts of the Holy Spirit, only worldliness can fully account for our brazen lack of dedication and sanctification.

How might we yet defeat such a malignant and militant foe? In a word,
repentance. For such beings as we, honest and heartfelt repentance is both an event and lifelong process. One fully encompassing our mind, heart and will. Seen from this perspective, repentance is best expressed in the military terminology “Halt, about face, march!” This kind of overcoming repentance requires recognizing faulty doctrine and practice woven into the fabric of misguided sects and denominations offering various Christs and versions of the gospel.

For those fortunate to have found
genuine Biblical fellowship, the necessary pre-revival repentance to prevail in prayer for the lost requires committing to the costs of radical discipleship. For an excellent example of working through the process of repentance see the short but challenging tract “Breaking Up the Fallow Ground” by Charles Finney as updated by Keith Green.

All this is far and away easier said than done.
The very fact that we’ve tolerated unanswered prayer, particularly in regards to the salvation and sanctification of loved ones, to become more the rule than the exception testifies to the difficulties of recognizing and meeting Scriptures more demanding directives. Ironically, the very willingness to fully receive the same gift of repentance we hope for on behalf of lost family and friends, may be exactly what we ourselves need if our prayers are to become effectual:

  • “Therefore, confess your sins to one another [your false steps, your offenses], and pray for one another, that you may be healed and restored. The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power]. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours [with the same physical, mental, and spiritual limitations and shortcomings], and he prayed intensely for it not to rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months.” James 5:16-17 Amplified Bible
In his previous chapter, James explains that the nearly universal problem of unanswered prayer, on behalf of lost family or otherwise, boils down to only two components:

  • “You do not have because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.” James 4:2-3 New International Version
James continues addressing the deeply embedded problem of worldliness within the 1st century church:

  • “You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. Or do you think Scripture says without reason that he jealously longs for the spirit he has caused to dwell in us?” James 4:4-5 New International Version
James concludes with a prescription universally considered more objectionable than the disease:

  • “But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.” Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.” James 4:6-10 New International Version
Regrettably and for a variety of reasons, the Bible is not written topically. That said, in the rare instances when line upon line instructions are given, it behooves us to carefully examine their essence and emphasis. On behalf of the Holy Spirit, James issues a “cease and desist order” against worldliness. An order all but universally ignored throughout modern Christendom. Who does this at all, much less on a regular basis? Name a single modern denomination or even congregation doing so. With the exception of David Wilkerson’s Time Square Church. QC highly recommends viewing the short YouTube video, “A Call To Anguish.”

So what might awakening to the battle before us, and
taking the spiritual road less traveled entail? Again, in a word, repentance. The event and process of Biblical repentance is as straight forward as 1,2,3:

1. Halt: A renewed willingness to approach God in heartbroken humility and confession. Waiting on the Lord in hopes of slowing down to a standstill previous attitudes and activities that impede honest and heart searching evaluation and response.

  • “Did you use to make ends meet by stealing? Well, no more! Get an honest job so that you can help others who can’t work. Watch the way you talk. Let nothing foul or dirty come out of your mouth. Say only what helps, each word a gift. Don’t grieve God. Don’t break his heart. His Holy Spirit, moving and breathing in you, is the most intimate part of your life, making you fit for himself. Don’t take such a gift for granted. Make a clean break with all cutting, backbiting, profane talk. Be gentle with one another, sensitive. Forgive one another as quickly and thoroughly as God in Christ forgave you.” Ephesians 4:28-32 The Message
2. About Face: A strategic change of course based on the claims of Christ as Master and Lord. Developing a plan to aid in turning from besetting sins and doubtful habits that may grieve the Holy Spirit and hinder prayer. Up to and including considering a lengthy, if not permanent, social media and/or TV fast.

  • “Do this, knowing that this is a critical time. It is already the hour for you to awaken from your sleep [of spiritual complacency]; for our salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed [in Christ]. The night [this present evil age] is almost gone and the day [of Christ’s return] is almost here. So let us fling away the works of darkness and put on the [full] armor of light. Let us conduct ourselves properly and honorably as in the [light of] day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and irresponsibility, not in quarreling and jealousy. But clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for [nor even think about gratifying] the flesh in regard to its improper desires.” Romans 13:11-14 Amplified Bible
3. March: Developing living faith through radical discipleship. Investing ever larger percentages of our time and energy in genuine Kingdom pursuits:

  • Don’t waste your time on useless work, mere busywork, the barren pursuits of darkness. Expose these things for the sham they are. It’s a scandal when people waste their lives on things they must do in the darkness where no one will see. Rip the cover off those frauds and see how attractive they look in the light of Christ. Wake up from your sleep, Climb out of your coffins; Christ will show you the light! So watch your step. Use your head. Make the most of every chance you get. These are desperate times! Don’t live carelessly, unthinkingly. Make sure you understand what the Master wants.” Ephesians 5:11-16 The Message - Emphasis QC’s
Another crucial step is attending or developing a Praying Parents style meeting committed to regular (once a week or more) and lengthy (two hours or more) repentive and worshipful intercession. Willingness to recognize and pay the cost of mastering various styles and levels of prayer. Forever moving beyond simply praying for and past pressing in, to the largely undiscovered country of praying through to frequent and verifiable answers. In real time and the light of day!

Doing so alone, as in the case of the previously noted reference to Elijah, while perhaps possible, is highly unlikely. U.S. Military and Hollywood hype aside, an “Army of One” is no army at all. Seeking out and/or training recruits and soldiers for the purpose of prayerful and
genuine fellowship, is highly recommended by Christ:

  • “Again I say to you, that if two believers on earth agree [that is, are of one mind, in harmony] about anything that they ask [within the will of God], it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in My name [meeting together as My followers], I am there among them.” Matthew 18:19-20 Amplified Bible

Update 2022

For my part I've spent 40 years strategically seeking and serving God with a single focus:

1. Is
Modern Christianity and/or Churchianity working?
2. If not, why?

As a Charismatic minister, with better than average understanding of Biblical truth, the journey led me to the following inconvenient truths

1. 1/3 of my doctrine was accurate.
2. 1/3 of my doctrine was in error.
3. 1/3 of the Bible's most crucial points were either undervalued or missing altogether.

Furthermore, I've found this sad equation is far more often the rule rather than the exception.

With this in mind I've spent two decades developing a topical Biblical commentary entitled, Quantum Christianity, showcased on my site GodBlog.net.

This was all long before 2020...

If there was ever an acceptable time to confuse Christianity with a
Cruise vs. Battleship, those days are past. As Paul warned: “And if the [war] bugle produces an indistinct sound, who will prepare himself for battle?” 1 Corinthians 14:8 AMP

The spiritual and sociopolitical foundations of America and Western Society have steadily been undermined since the 1960’s Sexual Revolution began reversing millennia of Christian morality. Followed by the decimating of traditional marriage and family through cohabitation and divorce. Culminating in the clinical and contraceptive abortion of 1 to 2 billion of Christ’s least brothers, 5-10 times the entire world’s population in Biblical days. A diabolic campaign of global temptation and deception destructively descending into militant homosexual and inconceivable transgenderism. A lost war against humanity, all but unfought by modern Christianity.

It’s one thing to fight and fail. It’s another to fail to fight. Not even in
serious prayer meetings...

Furthermore, it should be abundantly clear the
Times and Seasons have drastically declined since 2020. Nationally and globally, the world has never scene the like of even the following short list:

1. Covid-19 and variants, of questionable origin, mandates promoting and/or requiring untested and dangerous MRNA “vaccines” and “boosters” with negative efficacy and even deadly side effects revealing unprecedented control of healthcare and politics by the collusion of pharmaceutical companies and bureaucrats. To the point of threatening the removal of medical licenses of physicians prescribing safe and reliable treatments proven effective against respiratory and other illness. Example: In 2015 Ivermectin won the only Nobel Prize award for treatments of infectious diseases since six decades prior. Also report by Fortune Magazine (not right wing magazine) reveals that a simple  home remedy of saline solution used for "Twice Daily Nose Flushing Can Reduce Covid Hospitalization and Death Researchers Find" by 85%. This study was conducted Fall 2020, and could have helped prevent 3/4 of Covid deaths.

Since March 2020, when IVM was first used against a new global scourge, COVID-19, more than 20 randomized clinical trials (RCTs) have tracked such inpatient and outpatient treatments. Six of seven meta-analyses of IVM treatment RCTs reporting in 2021 found notable reductions in COVID-19 fatalities, with a mean 31% relative risk of mortality vs. controls. During mass IVM treatments in Peru, excess deaths fell by a mean of 74% over 30 days in its ten states with the most extensive treatments.

Except, thanks to her husband and help from state Senator Bob Hall, she wound up being forcibly extricated from the hospital after 14 days of torture (7 days no water…). Even though the doctors said she wouldn’t last a day longer, she is now perfectly healthy and is trying to raise awareness about the hospital genocide.
